Why does EQUS focus on supporting local sports in the community?
We believe that sports are important for fostering healthy and vibrant communities by promoting social interaction, mental and physical well-being, and helping to build individual confidence and accountability. EQUS also supports activities and events that create opportunities for connection through our sponsorship funding program.
What types of sponsorships does EQUS offer?
EQUS offers two types of sponsorships: Corporate Sponsorships and Community Sponsorships/Donations.
Corporate Sponsorships enhance EQUS’ profile in the community, create business opportunities, or provide valuable marketing opportunities. These sponsorships are available to organizations and events within EQUS’ Service Area.
Community Funding Options
- Community Sponsorship - up to $2,000 available in funding for community events and non-profit organizations
- Community Donation - up to $150 in gift baskets or retail gift certificates for the purpose of door prizes or auction items
What criteria does EQUS use to select sponsorship recipients?
For Community Sponsorships and Donations, EQUS has established guidelines which include the criteria applicants must meet to be eligible for consideration of funding.
Corporate Sponsorship applications are evaluated based on the following criteria:
- Value of marketing provided as a result of sponsorship
- How many people with be exposed to the EQUS brand?
- Who is the audience?
- What is the duration of the branding?
- Does the sponsorship build or improve on an existing business relationship?
- Does the event align with EQUS’ brand and values?
How does EQUS's sponsorship program benefit the community?
EQUS takes great pride in investing in the communities we serve by supporting events, initiatives and organizations that support rural residents and the development and enhancement of the communities in which EQUS members work and live.
How can I submit a sponsorship request to EQUS?
Sponsorship and donation requests can be submitted via the following forms, at least 30 days prior to the start of your event or activity:

How does EQUS's sponsorship program align with its value of community?
We support rural communities through cooperation, engagement, service, and stewardship. Our Community Sponsorship program focuses on building up youth and seniors across rural Alberta through community events, sports, and activities.
