With the snow melting, EQUS crews are preparing to begin our seasonal planned programs including pole change and testing, vegetation management, and scheduled construction work. This regular, scheduled maintenance helps ensure our distribution system remains reliable and safe.
By routinely testing and changing poles we can proactively identify potential issues and minimize outages and hazards for our members. Sustainable management of trees and shrubs near EQUS powerlines minimizes the risk of injury and property damage due to storms and wildfires.
This work means that EQUS staff may be accessing EQUS infrastructure on or near your property. EQUS staff and vehicles will always be easily identifiable and all contractors are given identification.
We recognize that rural property crime is a major concern in our communities, and we understand that our members may have additional security measures in place. If you have security on your property that could impede access for our team, please call us
at 310.EQUS (3787) and let us know!
