Brandon Hopper is the new Business Development Representative for the South EQUS area. Raised on a mixed family farm and ranch in southeastern Alberta, Brandon developed a deep appreciation for agriculture, rural communities, and the values of hard work, resilience, and helping neighbours. Before joining EQUS, Brandon spent several years in construction operating heavy machinery before discovering a passion for sales and customer relationships. He later transitioned into agricultural equipment sales, where he enjoyed helping producers and rural customers find solutions that supported their operations and long-term success. A proud Albertan, father, and partner, Brandon enjoys spending time with his family and understands the importance of strong communities and reliable services for rural families. Recognizing the challenges that farmers, ranchers, and rural residents face in today’s economy, he is committed to helping EQUS members find solutions that meet their evolving power needs. Brandon looks forward to meeting new and existing EQUS members, building lasting relationships with community members, and being an active presence throughout the region.

Pete Vandermeer is the new Business Development Representative for the Central EQUS area. Pete comes to EQUS bringing a wide range of experience and skill sets. Pete grew up in the country outside of Caroline, Alberta and following a long professional hockey career, he served in business development roles with multiple oil and gas service companies. He has served as a volunteer coach and board member on multiple teams and local community organizations, and he continues to own and operate small businesses in Central Alberta. With his background and rural Alberta roots, he is poised, willing, and able to help new and existing EQUS members solve their rural power needs. In an ever changing and challenging economic landscape, Pete’s no nonsense and common-sense approach to getting things done will positively enhance our Members’ experience.

Charissa Morill (North) 4804 41 Street, Onoway AB, 403.877.6434

Charissa Morill is the Business Development Representative for the North EQUS area, bringing nine years of experience with the organization. Throughout her time at EQUS, she has developed strong knowledge of operations, rates, and services, along with a keen attention to detail. Born and raised in Onoway, where she and her husband also raised their three children, Charissa has a deep sense of community that she carries into her work every day. Charissa is committed to helping communities save money with EQUS while sharing the value of the co‑operative model with potential members. She enjoys connecting with people, sharing knowledge, and finding effective solutions, while always making room for a bit of fun. She values honesty, strong relationships, and a positive, approachable attitude, and looks forward to continuing to support members while helping grow EQUS across its communities.
